Knowledge is power, right? If the pilots of certain companies choose to frequent these forums while others don't, then so be it.

I don't understand why Fed Ex was brought back into the main cargo forum rather than keeping them in a 'sub-forum', though. Sure made it easier for me, but perhaps the moderators had a different take on it.
Sniper,

I appreciate the value that discussion about working at these carriers provides on these boards, and I appreciate your point of view. A forum of dirty laundry really is more appropriate on a more internal forum in my opinion. I know every one has one....thank you APC.

Cheers,
WG

APC is for pilots, by pilots - we welcome every working line pilot here on the forums be they purple, brown, red, blue, green, etc. We're here as a community of pilots who face many of the same professional challenges regardless of employer. We're here to serve as a networking platform to give guys working their way up (and down) a leg up when it comes to pilot hiring.

We know that every pilot group (and union) has the financial resources and technical savvy to build their own online resource. However, we reject the notion that it's better to segregate ourselves professionally and live like mushrooms in our own little worlds. Obviously there are some sensitive parochial issues that probably should be discussed away from the public but overall:

Same Job, Different Uniforms.

Right now I'm wondering it the demerit for calling someone a mowron is worth it...nah, I'd better not...let's just say if we could just get our PurpleTails board back, everyone would be happy!

Default cargo forum

Worldguy...

OK, I'll say it....Shut your piehole!

If you don't want to read about ups or fedex issues, DON'T CLICK ON THEM! If I were looking for a cargo job, I would be appreciative of any and all posts about any airline on my list. If it's internal bickering or useful information, it still reflects on the airline.

The IPA has its own forum. What is posted here may only involve fedex or ups, but I, for one, like to see what is going on over at purple as well as the other outfits.

Or you could be like me - I find joy and amusement in just about everything! Some will say I'm annoying and I would not disagree! You say to-may-toe and I say to-mah-toe.

I hope people making career decisions aren't giving a lot of weight to what they read here. The majority of the postings are from a fringe group of very vocal malcontents.

I think the issue the OP brings up is he doesn't find the "dirty laundry" aspect of many of the Purple posts interesting or worthy. He likes reading the others. I do believe the Fedex guys have an internal message board, just as the IPA does. However, there are rules here and it isn't "their" forum, it's APC. It is interesting to see the volume of Purple posts as compared to Brown, not sure I know why that is. I guess the Purple pilot group is three times bigger, so maybe that's it.

In the end, everyone is welcome to post. As long as it's within the TOS, there won't be a problem with moderation.

So the 10,000 (a little high I know but it sounds better) or so pilots at FedEx and UPS should get out of your way. I'm thinking it's not the airline but the numbers they employee that mess you up. Hire more people. There are very few but vocal FedEx guys on here. Same guys all the time. I guess we just have too much time sitting around to help you out.

And what? you consider yourself and the rest of the cargo industy low caliber? Man you are messed up.
