LJ I quit going to any meetings when "My union" and "My MEC" tossed me under the bus on age 60 and the LOA. I will not go to another meeting or play nice with "My union" until they start representing Me.
The only way it will change in my opinion is when our entire mec steps down.

Yes, they went out there in Nov. and talked to 50 or so guys. From what I understand, it was a very frank meeting, and they explained the MEC's position on the LOA's very well. But that is still only 50 guys down and about 2000 others to go. And one trip in a year to one of the outlying domiciles, still does not make for good communication. Webcasts, webcasts, webcasts! That is what is needed.

A total of 16 members from blocks 5 & 6, showed up at the town hall meeting? That's out of 1025. 1.6% YGTSM!!
Just based on those numbers...I'd say the majority of folks don't really seem that concerned about what our union is doing for them...Otherwise, you'd think more would go to their meeting.
Once again, it's easy to talk the talk. How about walking the walk? You want something changed. Get involved!! Seriously.
I'm starting to think that maybe the monikers, "vocal minority" and "proponents of hysteria" may be closer to the truth than I had hoped.

They make a nice bonus to do a job, listen and represent us.
