When you speak of pilots having absolute control over who gets hired then, yes, pilots do. Our management pilots, for the most part, are union members, are part of our pilot group, and determine who gets hired.

The original pilots at Freedom went there to gain seniority, to undermine the CBA, to help Ornstein build his 'regional empire' and to allow the work and effort of thousands of pilots over the years, who had built the company to where it was, to be destroyed and flushed down the toilet.

Even though I love my job, enjoy the environment I work in, work on forgiveness daily, and don't hold personal grudges against anyone... I still have a professional responsibility to myself and to my colleagues, to not let these type of pilots contribute to the decay of our career.

I have forwarded the original, pre-ALPA, Freedom list to my current carrier's pilot hiring department and also personally handed it to several of the Captains I've flown with who conduct interviews, as well as FO's who I know are involved in the interview process. I hope the same thing is done at FDX, and other carriers as well.
I still carry my 'Freedom Fighters' list that I used to kick two scumbags off the jumpseat at my last airline. I don't have control over who rides now, but I still monitor.

Keep him out of your cockpits, or you are giving up everything any good pilot has ever fought for.

Well, guess you got some cracks to take care of.....

"I don't have control over who rides now, but I still monitor."

Really? Why is that? Did Fedex pilots give up Capts authority over the jumpseat? I thought that was just UPS...

I'm an FO. Not my jumpseat to give (or take away).

Just curious...which regional did you work for?

Surely not one of those that was used to "undercut your ALPA brothers" at a legacy carrier?

I thought the spears would start flying. I just wanted to know if we'd been hiring GoJet guys.

And for your information Dan, I flew 1900s code-sharing with UAL and F9. I don't think my 19 seat turbo-prop stole a whole lot of Legacy flying. Now, back to your whistling.

The same way we ended up with scabs from every major airline strike in recent history on our list.
