Actually, the more correct answer would be that it will show PAY ONLY if you're in that status on the first day of the bid month in question (not including c/o).

Quite a leap there. In the above situation, you will be paid 4+30 for each day per section 4.I.4. If you call in sick, you won't be paid for the day until it is rescheduled so your sick bank won't get charged either.

Let me change the scenario and see if it's still a leap. Pilot is scheduled to attend ITU the third week of the bid month. He bids and flys a normal line during the first two weeks. Does that pilot receive any pay in addition too the line he flew that month? I don't think so. NOW, if he gets sick during ITU in the month in question he will be docked sick leave. So he is being charged leave for the ITU he is not being paid extra to attend. Is this still a leap? Tell me where I got off track here.

Yes, he gets 4+30 for each day of training. Been there, done that. Guys do it all the time to maximize their pay.

The other option is to protect min days off during the first month and have trips dropped, but you will still get the 4+30 for the training days the first month.

If guys had been going to ITU for the last year and a half and hadn't been getting paid for it, we'd be hearing about it in a big way.

In any case, don't take my word for it. Call your F.O.S. or ACP on Monday.

Excuse my ignorance, but I can't find anywhere in the contract where ITU is paid at a 4:30 for every training day.

5. Initial, Transition, Upgrade (ITU) Training Pay
a. A pilot in ITU training for an upgrade award or an award
as a result of an excess bid shall earn a minimum of his
BLG/RLG, adjusted as described in Section 4.I.1. (Phase
Sec. 4.I.4. (continued)

So my question still is if a pilot has already flown his line during the month ITU is scheduled he will receive BLG for that line, but I don't see anything in the CBA about additional pay for the ITU training itself. (over the BLG that was flown)
