yeah.. go to the apple store, show them your ID, tell them you know Fred personally and watch the magic!
I think we get 6% or maybe a little more on hardware and a little less on other things. You can also call the 800 number and tell them you're a FedEx type and they'll quote you the price over the phone and set up the purchase right then...
they'll even FedEx it to you... is this a great moment in computer sports or what!

Apple gives a nice student discount also if you can prove (student ID I guess?) you have/are a student. Might be the same as the corporate discount?
PS ... you might try MacMall.com also (usually cheaper than the Apple Store for the same stuff).

Use the previously mentioned website to get your pricing, then take it to the Apple store in PDX to save even more. I compared pricing to the refurbished/last years models on the web (not available in store) and it was cheaper to buy a new model in the store and not pay sales tax...
