They were hoping to make you another victim of the misinformation campaign. Just like when someone important said he put the retro language in but it didn't matter because the rule was unlikely to change.

Politicians know it's all about spin.

can't (didn't) confirm it.....but I might as well perpetuate the rumor (isn't that what this APC site is all about anyway?? - anonymous rumor mongering).....

from the crew bus.....your "hardly any" is actually.....ZERO.....100% eligible have stayed - so far.

some (as some of you know) who already had their big sendoff retirement parties - "unretired" (or didn't actually go through with it officially)....!!!

nice touch!

surprised? i'm not.

you mean the "I'm going to the back until the next contract +1 day, then I'm outta here" "now I'm going to bid back to the right seat, so I can have some seniority"

Now he's moving back up to ANC as a Capt.....

you mean that guy? after a month of going away party's...

Not sure about over 60 guys, but I do know one guy that turned 60 in March and did retire, as planned. He didn't want the FCIF. SW from the MD-11 f/o seat.

Don't disagree with you. Those who want to can fly past 60, I just don't want to take a hit for going at 60.

The big kicker, is the 750 guys who get to continue over the next several years. No crystal ball here, but, I'd be willing to bet most of them are going to ride the pony until they get some idea of what the next contract is going to look like.
