Contract Predictions at UPS/FEDEX?
Hello all,
I will start by predicting that UPS will get contract agreement first, and this summer already, but only after the first Tentative Agreement is voted down. I'm sensing some p'ed off pilots right now that will be hard pressed to say yes to the first bone thrown their way Pay will be tops for cargo carriers, especially with their high guarantee, but only until FedEx signs theirs.
FedEx pilots will vote theirs in handily, but later in the fall. A380 rates will be the highest paying in the world for our profession, nearly 280 /hour. Fast upgrades will mean money will be much better than at UPS. With the vastly better work culture, FedEx will be the new Delta, United, and American. 6 year first officers will make what a Northwest or Delta 757 captain make.
If I am off my rocker, I'd like to hear it. Other opinions would be great from those pursuing the two like I am.

The reality is that until both contracts are signed, it’s all speculation. If you’re going to make your decision about which of the 2 companies to pursue based on your own predictions and the opinions of other anonymous posters, you might as ask for lottery numbers while you’re at it.

It's all speculation, which makes this fun IMO. I think both airlines are rock solid and at the top of my heap of airline picks, but will take your advice to base my decision based more than this forum. My sponsors have given me some good info anyway.

And I also feel, whatever both Pilot Groups get in the end, it will not be enough. Both groups will not have Great Contracts. Good, but not Great. The Scheduling Article's will be Wins for Management. Sad but True.
