50 B-727 Second Officers
Secondaries to be determined.
300 Newhires (I know, that's the part you're looking for, right? )
Actually, the FCIF says "in excess of" 300 for FY07, with the plan being to hire approximately 30 per month.
I'm a little disappointed. I don't see any vacancies for 737 Captain.

It says to expect another bid in the Spring of 07.
Of course, this bid was supposed to be out in February, too, so take that for what it's worth (a waste of my keystrokes).

Other interesting tidbits... The fleet plan over the next 5 quarters shows the following fleet deltas: -14 727s, -10 DC10s, +15 Airbus, +12 MD10s, +9 MD11s. Net gain in airframes: 12. Net gain in seats: 0.

You just never know.............
That is when the next projection of a Bid is...............
however, if I was a betting man and from a historical perspective, there will probably be a 1 or 2 small clean up bids beginiing in the fall
..............as the DC-10 and 727 down size and retirements from ANC an Lax phase in and hiring either increases or decreases as the needs change.

2006- 150
2007- 160
I'm not seeing how the fuzzy math is going to work. They're going to need to hire a lot more than 300 just to keep up with the new airplanes and the retirements. And that doesn't address the early retirements and medicals.
