say that again

After 20 years of visiting F-Street, during which time I've never had a bad meal and the service and drinks have always been great, I decided to venture there and get "the rest of the story". It seems that a few of our fellow UPS pilots acted like juveniles last Sunday. They came in loudly stating that the UPS crews were going to give F-Street another chance. It's too bad they did as they gave several bystanders the opinion that UPS pilots are *******s. They tried to pick a fight with a hockey team that thankfully didn't take the bait and began telling the wife of one of the players she looked like a lesbian. This childish behavior was supplemented by emptying the candy jar and pouring ketchup in it as well as throwing their trash all over the place. They also chased the waitress and caused her to cry with their foul mouthed sexual harassment. I don't know about you guys but if I was with that group and they behaved in that manner, the barmaid wouldn't be the only one ***** slapping that bunch. Sad to say but we're giving numerous people around town reason to believe we're a bunch of self absorbed juveniles.

Not that the -8 gets to ANC, but this doesn't make sense. Why would someone announce that they are a UPS pilot, then go about doing what you said? Could it be that the bar and its staff and patrons are trying to "get even"? I mean, if it was me, and I was to do something so stupid, the last thing that I would do is announce who I work for. This just smells fishy.

Now, on the other hand, if this IS true, these guys better be careful.

That's a shame if it's true. After witnessing it you did confront them and politely ask them to leave, right? You did witness them last Sunday, right? If not, did these individuals wear their uniforms to the bar? Did they walk in and huff and and proclaim they were UPS pilots. That does not sound right. These stories always seem to get blown out of proportion. This site is great for information on what is going on in the industry but it is also good for propagating a nice story full of probably less than half-truths. Sorry, I don't buy it.

The original story was spot on, ask Danny to show you the tape. Off hand the new story sounds like BS and if it is true then something should have been done about it...either way that place is out of chances from me.

Now that part I could see. Some pilots are stupid, especially when drunk, and for some unknown reason are still under the false impression others think being a pilot is "cool".

However...

Pouring ketchup in a candy jar? That's too stupid for any of us. I wouldn't have done something like that since Jr. High. So, no I don't buy the story either.

If that story is true...............WOW!! The first thing I think of is a bunch of big time drunks. But then again anything is possible, anything!!!

Read my post again, I stated that "IF" I was with that group, it wouldn't only be the waitress ***** slapping them. Of course I wasn't there but after 20 years of history with F-Street and 20 years of seeing how some of our own behave in bars, especially after a pacific crossing or two I have to believe those I know and trust and my personal experience. I don't doubt what happened there originally, I was only referring to an incident recently.
Once again we're our own worst enemy at times.
