Poolie Email from UPS
As a concerned poolie, just wondering to make of this.
The "Flight Officer" job you have inquired about has been filled. You may go to http://www.upsjobs.com and check for other opportunities with ups.

Got the same e-mail today. I'm going to place a call, see if I can find out what is up. I certainly realize they are not hiring any time soon, but I thought we stayed in the pool till they either pull us out or re-interviewed us if too much time has elapsed for the poolies, as they did after they eventually started re-hiring after 9/11.

In the pool since 6/07, and got the same e-mail today. This is the second or third time they have sent out this message since I have been in the pool. My application still shows "active" on the UPS web site. At this point I will not be expecting a phone call if and when they ever begin hiring again without another interview. Just my opinion, I hope I'm wrong.

Just as it states "Been filled", well maybe just maybe someone finally unlocked the door to the office and is cleaning things up a bit... If anyone has any contacts at UPS that may be able to gives us more info please pass it along...

Same Here
Not Sure, but if it means I am hired, then it is all good.

Chill out guys. I am not in the know, but my guess is that it's an automated system message. UPS forced the airline hiring folks to use the same software as the rest of the company. If you've interviewed your "paper file" is in a desk drawer somewhere waiting for the economy to turn.
It's certainly not the best way to treat people. But the job here is worth it.
