Read the contract. ANC is excluded from the "no harm, no foul" clause.
If you don't want to ride the company the morning before you can always buy a ticket the evening or night before your departure to make sure that you're in position. Just the way it is.

Must not be too overmanned if they will not let you drop a trip into OT! Good luck dropping that hot potato. Might think about sending ALPA a copy of your drop denials for future evidence.

This guy Kronan's post has me so incredulous that I actually had to sign up and go through the whole bs just to tell him to stay home! He obviously has no idea how it works in AK. You bid ANC and it is a whole new way of life. JP is a good man, if you are honest with him, he will give you the benefit of the doubt, within reason. Trying to fly in and catch your trip in a few hours just doesn't work. You will need to come in a day early. This ain't Memphis. Consider your bid carefully.

I noted the sarcasim. No worries, I am sure we will to. A lot of p' od' people right now and we all need to keep from taking it out on each other. It is just really sad because ANC is a great base with great people and now the whole dynamics will change. A bunch of angry memphites are going to be forced to make a miserable commute from their Mecca in Collierville so they can make their payment on their kids tuition at Ole Miss. Just not good for anyone. I think the whole point here is it is not an easy commute and you have to make a commitment to come here that you are going to spend extra DAYS in ANC on your own time. I bought a place and made it my home away from home which has been great, but expensive. The other thing that has not been mentioned in a long time is there are no FOOD COURTS anywhere we fly to out of here, which is going to put a real crimp into the memphites layover plans. Also, now that this Exodus of memphites is going to occur can we start putting the ANC approach plates in plastic a leaving them in the trip folder?

About 95% of them are obese, not fat. The other 5% (who are hammers) are all married to either FedEx or Air Force pilots based here. Sorry, not a great place for the single guy either.
