Another case of the tip of the tail wagging the dog. I would rather dig ditches than give up to this way too long serving politico.

A 60 hour guarantee or Preferential bidding will never get voted in. And it shouldn't to save 300 guys thats sad to say will most likely get furloughed anyway. If they decide to park the rest of the DC8's, we cant stop a furlough. So why have a vote on something that is not going to pass. It does us no good.

Bob and the EB need to tell UPS that we'll see you in Dec. 2012.

And for captain cook, good luck with trusting the EB to talk for you. You will be disappointed the way there acting now.

How are they acting now? It's only been a few days. What am I missing?

I'm trusting the EB to speak for me. I feel that they have my best interests in mind. I hope they don't let me down.

Trust and Hope do not go together when it comes to our Union. Many of us have come from other carriers and have seen this chess match one to many times. The one thing that needs to be done by all is to express your point of views with your reps. One thing for ALL to remember and most of you do is that once you give up ANYTHING in your contract you WILL not get it back. Just go look at any other pilot group out there that did and see where they are today. Fly the contract, be safe and take care of our own......................

The way there acting now. Why would a leader of a Union even think about amendments to a working agreement mid term? When the company ignores us at will. Making Billions. To save 300 pilots that in my opinion will sadly be furloughed whatever we decide. The president should not even think about giving the company relief.

Any leader of a Union who wants to dilute a contract mid term for any reason needs to be recalled in my opinion. Now if UPS was bleeding money, I could help out, but that's not the case.

Still way early in the game here, but I tend to agree. We have a contract that is good until 2012. If the union leader decides to give this away before its expiration, he shouldn't just be recalled...he should be hanged!

Why would anyone start the pref bid rumor? I hope people realize that it wouldn't work with our limited flight schedule at UPS. You couldn't even put in enough parameter choices to build a line.

You are new and that is cute. Bob has tried midterm corrections before and it was not pretty. If we concede anything now it will be gone like spit on a hot gridle, never to return. The answer is no. The answer will always be no.
The old man has been in office too long and his head has grown soft.

I am fairly new to the IPA, but I belonged to ALPA for a decade so I've seen much worse than the IPA and BM.

Read what I've been saying: I would prefer to be furloughed rather than to accept concessions.

So jungle, if we have furloughs will you do your part to take care of your fellow IPA pilots on the street?
