If you throw in your towel now, you can beat the Christmas rush...

All I'm saying is that excessive pessimism and wild speculation won't help anyone...I read that in a publication so it must be true. The author might just have been trying to sell some sensationalized print though...You never know though...they got Y2K and global cooling (or was it warming?) right.

BINGO!

I don't like the news anymore than anyone else.....but I'm also being realistic as well.

B2pilot~ I'll send you a PM on June 1st on my prediction the Dow will be below 5,000. If I'm wrong (and I hope that I am) I'll flat out post that I was crazy. I'm reading the same thing Ave Joe is obviously reading though and it isn't good.

They're not negative; they are realists!

b2... your attitude is curious. It's as if you think it's absolutely a crap shoot what the next 5 minutes of your life will hold. How do you prepare for the future and make informed decisions? I'm just speculating that you don't read much because, "It's all doom and gloom anyway!" As if to say, "If it's not GOOD news, then why bother reading it?" I'm sure you understand the shortsightedness of this philosophy.

But hey, if it's working for you then good luck with that!

I don't accept PM's but you can take a swing at me in public here on the board if it helps. I'm trying to lighten the black mood here with a little humor...obviously a poor and futile attempt on my part. I'm a realist myself...but there's always hope. Sometimes the unexpected happens very quickly...good and bad.

Shaggy,

I didn't get those numbers. I used the Feb 1st Seniority List from the Crew Reference link on the UPS web site and did an age sort. Could you recheck and let me know if your numbers are good. (I got 35 and 56 for a total of 91 for your dates.)

No worries brother..if you feel you've got me pegged, who am I to argue. Enjoy your life, fly safe and I'll see you on the line.

Bob,
The numbers are good and are from the most current Seniority list! I am kinda an excel geek and I created a couple of different formulas to look into the future!

So, how much will UPS (and GOOG) stocks be worth in lets say 2015? (about time we'll be getting recalled)

I might be good at excel but I don't have a crystal ball, I wish I did! I did buy bunch of Citi group on Friday at .98 Cents!
