A300 Acronyms Gouge?

Unless you get Dale for your oral. He is still from the old school Navy "Stump the Dummy Program" and show you how superior in knowledge he is. As a pro instructor has nothing to do but learn the systems inside and out. Good luck, he still does not get it.

I had Dale as an instructor. While he definitely tends to teach about 150% the comprehension level of the student, I never got the intention that he was doing it to prove his superior knowledge. Nor did I think that he was belittling in his techniques.
As far as the standardization goes from a previous post, there was no less standardization amongst the pros than the flexes in my experience.
For anyone currently in training, if you feel that a rogue instructor created a black mark on your record for unfair reasons or your instruction provided was not enough to prepare you for your next event, go to SS and get it addressed. That is the only way that any "non-standardization" is going to be discovered and corrected.

Did you have him for your oral evaluation?

We met up again for a couple of AST's and again, I thought he was an excellent instructor.
I don't think his backround ever came up.

I had him for my oral. He seemed to want to find something I didn't know so he could instruct. I let him find something very fast, he taught me for about 15 minutes, and the rest of the oral was straight from the gouge.
