FDX 727 SIBA in S America
If we are short on 727 crews, as already discussed, how are they going to take 11 crews to do siba? I've gotten weekly draft calls for the last month and have seen others posting similar stories attesting to this. Unless domestic schedules will begin to wane as summer rolls in, I can't see how this will be possible!?!
Since I'm relatively new, does anyone know if these tend to go senior?
Thanks

They've actually been looking at this/planning it (on & off) for over a year.
Looks like they are just deciding to pull the trigger now.
I think it's good news for everyone because it's more flying.
Senior folks get to fly it....and junior folks get to stay employed.
(Side note --- the 727/FO seat is the least manned of the three. Perhaps, the upcoming 757/FO excess bid will actually allow the727/FO seat to grow by a bit. The very junior guys at the bottom of the 727/FO seat may get bumped to the SO seat, but some of those excessing off the 757/FO seat may unexpectedly find that they can hold the 727/FO seat)
