FedEx Express is missing from this list.
They are the only company that receives special treatment thanks to Fred Smith's lobby effort in 1996.

Its drivers do the same jobs as every other delivery driver in the country.
As a result, they should be covered under the same labor law.
Amending the Railway Labor Act removes the special treatment provided to
FedEx Express and levels the playing field in the transportation industry.

To be honest...The Fedex "Brown Bailout" strategy is below the belt, IMHO. To shift the argument to a "competitive" issue is clever marketing, but not honest.

Why don't you guys start an express operation, that will level the playing field too. Get it?

IMHO you are wrong. Does that change anything?

Neither has any UPS pilot, but our respective companies have them all over the road. Rather ridiculous and parochial for any of us to take this personally.
It's a slugfest between our managements that both agree they don't like pilots or desire to abide by our contracts. That is where we should give a rat's a$$ IMO.

Don't you have something better to be doing? Your own post proved that you are wrong. FedEx Express is a different company, maybe you should try to get your brown airplane division separated and then we wouldn't have this problem. That is your companies choice and so is aligning themselves with the self-servers that are the teamsters.

It's pretty bad that you guys can't just worry about your own house and instead try and support something which is not only wrong but if passed will cause the loss of FedEx Pilot jobs.

I would think that since you guys just came together to save some jobs that you wouldn't attempt to cost some of us our jobs.

You are correct and just to be clear, I didn't take it personally. I was merely commenting that I don't drive a truck.
