Do you think maybe the seat moves a little sideways when you slide it back?
The seat moves sideways when the yoke is slid back? Cool.

No. The seat moves sideways when you move the SEAT all the way back - not the Yoke.

I was thinking about the magic of these new fangled moving seats...And wondered:

If you're airborne, holding on to the yoke and you activate the seat moving switch. How do we know that the airplane didn't move, and the seat stayed stationary?

That could be a very dangerous situation if both pilot's tried it at the same time.

I thought the 777 yoke was stationary and the seat moved around it controlling the airplane flight controls. A new twist on fly by the seat of your pants.
