I am in the Army as as Warrant with 13 years, even though the pay is not that bad nor the stability, I would love to be in your shoes right now. So here are my words of encouragement. Just be patient, a change is going to come, thank God for your blessing that you have as you are reading this, because a lot of your flight brother's and sisters out there on the grind has not recovered from Sept 11th yet. Some are flying for a little of nothing and some are still on furlough waiting for that phone call. I am glad to see that you are with a stable company, so just take out time to see life for what it is worth and the blessing that the Chief Pilot Upstairs has given you. Fly Safe///Keep the Dirty Side Down Brother.

Hence, 888*117=103897 and 106*975=103,350.
Where is the confusion?

When you factor in the time value of money that difference in 2d year pay grows over the years. I think of it as an investment. 120k invested today versus 75 k invested today grows to a huge difference. Anyway we are getting ripped off by the company. USAF pilots make a lot more than most FOs at UPS.

Lil' J, I think you and I are in agreement. Really I was just pointing out to the freightpup some basic numbers, and that 120 shouldn't be a dream. It is a very realistic, attainable number that UPS can afford to pay.

I know I might get some brown stuff thrown my way,
but whats up with your contract negotiations?? Some of us purple types thought (a long time ago now) that, you'z guys, entering nego a year before us, and..... well, being an all union shop, you'd have set the standard that (we) could draft off of. We kinda was figuren' that (by now) you would be beating your chests ( except for you, Freight Puppy
) about how much better a deal you got than FedEx. Now were all stuck in the mud wondering who's going the get the deal done first, and take the sh** (from the other) for settling for too little. With inflation and all eating away at our static incomes, pretty soon we're going to have to shop at Walmart!
