There is no single company better at dealing with labor than UPS. Add our internal strife to the mix and a lot of folks believe we are at least another year away from a contract.

Well, I heard something decent today paywise but I won't get all excited about it.

What have you heard? The problem I see, UPS will pay us the $, then shaft us with Scheduling and Productivity rules. And it ends up we waited 4 years for a COST NUETRAL contract. Read Art. 13 Please.

240 an hour?

I'll trade ya! I'll take your FO job and you can be a 4.5 yr furloughed legacy guy working part time in the USAFR!
You guys are in good shape up there in KY and TN.

I share your fear. 240 an hour? No way. We are asking way less than that!

Are you ready for this. In mid 2001, B. Miller turned down a mid-term agreement. Remember? UPS had offered us 250 an hour. This was still 15 below DAL at the time. This is Facts, 250 an hour. I saw the agreement.

Now, nearly 5 years later, you'll saying no way to 240? People need to raise there standards big time. I hate apathy. UPS is already winning because you wimps now want to lower are requests because of the legacy carriers.

Bull****. 250 an hour is my minimum. And needs to yours also.

What are you talking about that Bob turned down 250 an hour in 2001? The MD-11 package? He didn't turn that down, WE turned that down. I don't recall that pay component in there at all. Are you refering to some sort of a secret deal that we never heard about?

If you are looking for 250 an hour, you'd better hurry up and sign that recall petition. Like I said, we aren't even ASKING for that much. You think UPS is going to give us more than we are asking for?

[QUOTE=Nashmd11]Read Art. 13 Please.[QUOTE]

No doubt! We all have to.

I heard in the $280's for top capt. pay by the end of the contract. I tell you what though, that FO slope better be fixed. If it's not, I don't care what top capt. pay is.....I don't care how great the schedules are. If that slope is not fixed, I am voting no and I will not even waste my time reading the rest of it until that is fixed. Also, I hear the co. is going to try to throw money at us to get it to pass with crappy scheduling.......so, YES, WE ALL MUST READ THE SCHEDULING ARTICLE AS WELL.

the 280 is not far off, just depends how long of a contract you are looking for. Take the proposed hourly rate, add 3% a year to it, and in 8 years you get 280. Beware of semantics.

The last proposal I was told of fixed the slope for 50% of the FO's date of signing. I asked why not 100% and was met by silence as if I should have been happy with 50%.Scheduling? I won't even go there with you.

What will sell this deal is going to be retirement getting a % of the votes, end rate pay getting some more, and a nice chunck of retro pay. Add it up and you get about 51%. Better luck next time
