Default FedEx ALPA message line

FedEx pilots...go to the FedEx ALPA website. Your new chairman has an audio message for your review. The SIG chairman has just put out a letter on why the DP process is so important. And Fred Eissler is your new Legistative Affairs chairman...

If you had a chip on your shoulder, please take it off. It is time to work together...we have a lot of challenges. I had a chip...and after much complaining waded in. Fifteen months later we have mp3 files on our website, a new chairman and officers, and a host of new initiatives. If you wanted change, you got it. If you don't wade in now to help, all you will do is validate the years of being told "we can't do that..." or "it won't work". Wallflowers--start dancing. Critics...start moving something besides your lips. We've got what we wanted...let's get to work.

(and stand by for the first glitch to get cleared up...there's a problem with the MP file, but its being worked on...)

Cool and thanks. I'll listen to it on the ipod during my hub-turn workout.

"We have encountered a technical problem with ALPA's internal Intranet versus the Internet regarding the MP3 audio file (Officer's Pilot Update). We are working to correct this issue and will post the audio file next week. "

Hmm....good idea, sounds like we need to hire a bit more qualified IT guys at ALPA National. Still looking forward to reading it. What would be GREAT though is an MP3 of all the hub turn meetings - often where the good info is and a barometer of the crew force vice a repeat of what comes out in the weekly email lines.

Albie,

Thanks for the good work. Hopefully the tide has turned.

A new MEC will not fix all of our problems but a new direction is a great start.

You are completely right about everyone getting on board. Negotiations are close at hand and we all need to stand together.

So is this an actual mp3 file that you can download, replay on your ipod/mp3 player or just something you have to view while connected to the internet (in which case it's no more valuable than the standard stuff that gets emailed/snail mailed to us)?? I can't seem to figure out a way to download the mp3 file?
