Why don't those fields go right into the Jepp bricks?

I was wondering the same thing ...

Only guess was to get them published quicker than the revision cycle of the Jepp brick ?

We haven't heard a thing probably due to the Manglers flying it and screwing it up!

Regards ... Mark

MD-11 type ratings for F/O's at Fedex are quite a bit less than the full rating. They contain the restriction :

"MD-11 limited to FAR 121.543 (b)(3)(i) operations at Federal Express Corporation." (This reg pertains to cruise captain duties.)

UPS F/O's (on 747-400, MD-11 and 757/767) get the full rating (except for the now common restriction of circling approaches conducted VMC only.)

Must be a rather new thing, when I took my type (as an FO for FDX) it is a "normal" type, only the VMC circling restriction like most have.

Just flew with one of the manglers that operated the polar flight. Said everything went fine, 16 hours and 4 manglers later...all that time reading nothing but company literature!

Usually Chinese DVDs from the 580 Market in Shanghai. There's plenty of 110V power ports throughout the aircraft.
