Ups 400-
UPS will not furlough
BM and the EB know they screwed up on the MOU and are just trying to look important by averting a made up disaster.
Trust me your job is safe, UPS will still be here tomorrow with the same old bland cafeteria waiting for you.
It is the exact fact that nobody knows what this economy is going to do, what the FAA is going to do, that will keep you on property until the age 65 guys are long retired.
Stop stressing.......Stop posting and just think about it.

I have no doubt UPS and the "food simulator" will be here. I fail to see what that has to do with my job - as many other people already pointed out, UPS has let go of drivers, mechanics, etc etc.

There was some unity last time, but not as much as everyone is preaching. I mean, look at the majority of contributers to the MOU. The bottom 300 who didn't have a choice!
Unless they really sweeten the retirement part of the MOU, this next go around is gonna fail miserably. Unity my a$$!
On the plus side, I hear that Air Astana is hiring expats in Kasakhstan. DOH!

And before everyone starts bashing me, I DO appreciate the unity shown by those who did contribute. My job was saved, at least temporarily. Thank you!
But come on, this whole unity deal is kinda bs to me. The majority of contributors were ANC FO's (or those close to being ANC FO's). That's the fact of it.

I don't think this MOU will keep folks in their seats as UPS will most likely down grade Capt's and keep folks in the cheapest seats they can.

UPS does not want a furlough. It wants to keep all pilots on property or on call at home. Furlough = loss of control to UPS. We all know how un-acceptable loss of control is to UPS. Regardless of how over staffed we are UPS will keep all pilots on property.
Fact 1 Pilots pay-checks never sustained or built an airline or a package empire.
Fact 2 Pilots are a much larger capital investment than a mechanic, truck driver, or loader and cost too much money to lay-off, re-train, move etc. etc.
If you don't grasp these two above facts, then good luck to you. Maybe you should think about attending college.
Now resume sky is falling, sky is falling rant. Its all the same to me. As a low seniority F/O I’ll still be in the cafeteria eating tater-tots in 2011, 2012, 2013 regardless of MOU-2 , BM, or ATL.
