FDX ANC DPs

That's all any FedEx pilot should need to know - DON'T FLY DISPUTED PAIRINGS (unless forced to on reserve.)
Attempting to apply personal standards - ie. "it's really not THAT bad of a trip"....." and it works perfectly for my personal scheduling agenda" - is counterproductive at best and a slap in the face to the SIG and the rest of the pilot group at worst.
In the case of these two trips, the SIG has determined that all or portions of these pairings are "onerous" due to multiple body-clock shifts and night hub-turn-like events, etc. that are not mitigated by the scheduled rest periods.
Bottom line is support the SIG - don't be part of the "I, My, Me, Me" generation - and don't fly/request on VTO's disputed pairings.
side note: wonder what it would be like to be shunned by the entire crew force for a 25+ year career because of self-serving actions like this early in one's career? not good.....

Here's what's really funny.
The same guys who do DPs often complain about long duties and fatigue. Some are ignorant enough to file a POR or call their ACP after they pick one up and fly it. The ACPs laugh when they get off the phone with these idiots. The optimizer ratchets tighter when DPs get voluntarily flown. Flying them voluntarily tells the company you have no problem with the pairing. When the reserves have to fly them, it sends a loud message.
The SIG works our scheduling issues.
