I am a realist, thats all. I am all for not picking up DP's, etc, etc. But history proves that we have enough guys here that are single minded and could care less about the leverage we have (collectively). Thats all I am saying. I think my "spirit" is pretty much A OK!

Not sure if any of these are rumor or fact......but......

I heard a rumor that this guy actually made a public apology in ground school the other day.

Anyone confirm/deny this?

If all the above is true, I can't imagine what he could have even said to excuse his behavior this time??

In any case.....it'll be a nice Thanksgiving AND Christmas in his house - especially with the extra 60+ CH of pay to go along with it!

Sorry not buying it. I am very forgiving, but give me a break. If he is that stupid he deserves the "A" ignition as well.

Default ANC trip 87/29Nov

Just thought you'd like an update on the ANC dp 87/29Nov, flown by the ANC f/o who is helping the company with its "Manning" problem. The original trip, ANC 87/29Nov, had no deadheads on it, and paid 55:58 hours. As for the captains, it was split up into 3 different trips, ANC 2029/29Nov(on reserve), pays 23:53 with a bank of $7470; MEM 2530/27Nov(on reserve, but also had a charter flight on the trip), pays 68:25, with a bank of $5198; and LAX 2031/04Dec(not on reserve ), pays 41:48 with a bank of $12716. So, for that one DP, the company had to pay a total of $25384 in airline tickets, and 134:06 in capt pay, assuming 10yr pay, that's 28776.13-11882.44=$16893.69 in extra pay(please feel free to correct my public math). That's an extra $42727.69 in cost to the company, for one trip! Please feel free to use the info with anyone who doesn't understand why you shouldn't fly disputed pairings.

Default Nice work

Thanks for the investigative work. This is great information and something the union should be posting so that the crew force and especially the knuckle heads that pick up the DP can see what impact not flying these can have.

It is powerful information to have for the crew force and something I am sure the company does not want us to know. It should help to inform some of the misinformed/selfish individuals that they are not with us but for themselves and how much they are undermining the crew force.
