I got the impression that seniority is everything to him. Therefore, he is totally against the MOU as it is perceived to reward the less senior crewmember. In my opinion, he will protect the more senior crewmemeber and not be as aggressive to prevent the junior folks here from being kicked to the street. I really hope I am wrong, but I think he will push to allow the chips to fall where they fall when the second MOU fails to meet its goal.

Well, then it is all in the same. You won't truely feel furloughed until you find you have not been paid. So let me say the pain won't start until April 4th.

To keep our miserable, useless, self-serving, pi$$ed off butts OFF of the property for fear of "job actions"

I've been through a furlough elsewhere and saw NONE of this behavior, but UPS thinks we are all thieves anyway ...

If UPS is going to furlough I think I have a great idea to protect the bottom 300-400.

UPS announces the furlough Jan 4.

The IPA puts out a vote to change the C&B to permit the ability For the IPA to select pilots to furlough out of seniority order.

When the vote closes and we have 25% not vote again, we send their butts to the street. (From the bottom up of course)

Personally, as a bottom 300 guy, I think we are screwed. The IPA is doing absolutely nothing to promote part 2 of the MOU and encourage participation.

Not saying you are wrong, but I got the impression he wanted all the (i)s dotted and the (t)s crossed before having the MOU enacted.

We shall see...

Well between him shooting his mouth of about Obama and then the article concerning the mou and so on and then retracting his statements on the same day with apology to the membership leads me to believe we are in deep s..t. If this guy can't think before opening his mouth you better take cover for next 3 yrs. God help us all, He reminds me of Sara Palin with a set of ba..s.

Now that's funny. The situation reminds of a fortune cookie, "may you live in interesting times".
