Best aircraft acquisition: B747-400F
Best hub: Ontario, Calif.
Best aircraft: B747-400F factory fresh ones
Best hotel: Dubai, U.A.E.
Best new AOM procedure: flaps down prior to aircraft movement
Best aircraft to jumpseat on: B747-400F Big Top
Best van driver: the cookie lady
Best rebel act by a pilot: A-300 captain denying airline VP a jumpseat
Best safety point: no major hull loss except for DC-8 in PHL due to a fire
Best aircraft parking plan: the A-380
Best pilot hiring manager: Paige Muessle
Best new pilot perk: Sleep and locker facilities in SDF
Best place to run into a UPS pilot manager off property: 4th Street Live
Best pilot domicile opening: Anchorage -400, keeping the old guys commuting a country away
Best new FOM procedure: hats are optional (coming soon I hear)

I prefer the hotels in HKG and SYD.

Oh wait, we lost those......

Also:

That's for the next decade perhaps, as of 2000-2009 there were no furloughs.

In Dubai, you can't get what I'm smoking, unless you want to risk having your head cut off.

I like all of the above hotels. I'm not familiar with the new hotels in SYD and HKG, but I doubt they are nicer than the old ones.

We can add LGB to the list for the domestic guys. Who wanted that downtown Ocean Blvd Westin next to the waterfront/Queen Mary/marina area with dozens of restaurant options when we now can stay at another Ayres in the middle of a suburban concrete strip mall jungle?
