Actually, that is really not the case. It is actaully easier to call in sick now because there is more open time to choose from to restore your sick bank. Try again!!!

This company is so slimey they will probably give you no notice after the initial 90 day letter.

In a previous life (not Brown), crewmembers were met OUTSIDE of the building and had their IDs taken by HR and/or an ACP type when they reported for their next trip. Real nice for commuters, some were met on the inbound leg finishing a trip without options to get home.

Word spread quickly through the crew force and the bottom altered their commuting and/or work plans to prevent being stranded by that benovelent employer ...

I'm sure they won't give notice. The will do what works best for them.

That is weak at other companies when they took your id's and stuff, they at least gave you a positive space seat back to your home. A little harder with Brown/Purple, but I'm sure they could afford a DH ticket. I know what I'd do if that's the way they want to play it.

There will have to be something presented after 22 May. Why would anyone with a furlough letter leave home? I suppose they could just get rid of all 170 on 22 may and pick up the pieces and contract the rest. They'll have 4 months til peak.

Although I don't work there (any more), I disagree. I believe that UPS management will not only give notice, but to pilots whose furlough starts immediately after they finish a revenue trip, a commercial airline ticket to their home of record. Just a guess of course, but that's the way I believe they will do it.

There are reports of UPS management breaking into crewmembers hotel rooms to intimidate them into taking trips. This appears to be happening in ANC.
