Weatherman: Note I said China (NOT Hong Kong SAR) and domicile. That would be the reason the fedex folks are domiciled and living in Hong Kong and not China.
Sure, UPS (might) try to open a HKG domicile some day. Or not. I'm just saying my opinion, based on 30 years of flying in asia, is that the Chinese will continue to make life as difficult as possible until they can get more and more of the lift from us. Just look at the explosive growth of Jade and Yangtze River Express. Or how the Chinese passed a law last fall that says that only Chinese carriers can carry express mail inter-china.

My opinion only. YMMV

No date, just the Warn Act letter. We'll find out tonight whats up!!! Our EB cares so much they are Video conferencing.
To me its like telling my wife let me show you my love in Cubic Zirconia. Its close but not the same as coming up here and talking to us.

I finally woke up and figured out I'm a third rate pilot working for a fifth rate outfit. I guess me and Jimmy Stewart aren't that different after all.

Third rate only if you think of yourself that way. UPS doesn't think of "hourlies" as anything but a cost and a liability. Don't take it personally.

As for IPA, name one union who has done more for pilots at risk or on furlough. ALPA, APA, Teamsters? SWAPA will likely never be even remotely challenged, as SWA management views their pilots as assets.

Wow. Most pilots dream of working at SWA, UPS, and FedEx. This is how you feel. FedEx pilots are ****ed due to 4a2b. Southwest pilots are still happy, but the new hires are starting to get ****ed because they are realizing they will never upgrade without more new hires. Net Jets has furloughed about 500. It's starting to seem like there's nowhere decent to go.

I agree with you on both thoughts. I've flown and spent quite a bit of time with you over the last few years since you've been back and respect you're opinion.
I just get a little short sighted sometimes. I need to take the hearsay and leave it at that. I guess I'll get my questions answered tonight at the meeting.

Someone that would not appreciate a token of love (even if it is CZ) isn't worth loving IMO. Bad analogy.
