Although I haven't used it in several years, my kids that recently graduated from Junior High had opportunity to refresh some memories of that conversational mode. Let's see if I can remember a couple of comebacks. <clears throat> I looked up Moron in the dictionary, and there was your picture. ummm... Your momma wears army boots! OK, OK, I can't bring myself to do that anymore. It's not nearly as funny as it used to be, and it reminds me too much of FlightInfo.com. Rainy days help us appreciate the sunny days. Hard times help us appreciate the good times. And guys like "Too Slow, Pull Out" help us appreciate the professionalism of the rest of our friends. Now, where's that IGNORE button? :) . |

Hey 2dots, They quit reading your posts. You are standing on the street corner mumbling to yourself. Pull yourself together Captain, you are starting to embarass the flight attendants. |

T.H was one and R.C is another. ........not to mention the Puppet Lady. Ok, I started this rock fight so I guess I better jump back in. First of all, I apologize for any unprofessional ism I exhibited on my last post. It was a bad day. Now to the point of the post, let me clear up some of the misconceptions that are floating around. First, DC. He is an ass, always will be. Unfortunately, the company can't fire him for being an ass. If they did, the Union would have to grieve it and would get his job back. And we'd all be a few numbers senior. Then you have just rewarded him for his actions. Because the way the process works it would take atleast 6 months for him to get fired. All the while he is collecting a big fat paycheck, ala the other arbitration incidents. The crews form SFS, EWR, MNL, all collected 5+ years of pay and benefits while not turning a wheel. Not their fault, just reality. So that obviously played into the mix. They did what they could and forced him back to the right seat. To me that was a crock as well. You're telling him he is an ass so he has to be an FO. Boy, what a slap in the face to all the good FO's here at FedEx. It had nothing to do with his Union membership. Ask the guys in the legal dept at FedEx ALPA. Secondly, TH. The real story is that the FO he was going to fly with did dime on him but I'm not so sure it was a Union deal. I know the guy and that never came up in the story when he told it to me. He did his final deviation from his daughter's house in ATL or EWR. Not sure which. Doesn't really matter. He definitely wasn't within 100 miles of FRA. Manfred just happened to mention that he was going to the airport to pick him up within a couple of hours of his showtime. Again, the reason he wasn't fired doesn't have anything to do with his Union membership. He was offered a deal which prevented the Union from having to represent him in lieu of a month off. He could have had Union representation regardless of his membership status. That's the law. He waived that representation and took the slap on the wrist. Management can't stand dirt bags any more than anybody else. Union or not. As far as I know everyone in the current CP ranks is a member, from Lewis on down. Now finally, PA, aka Puppet Lady. She is not fired because she is on sick leave. As far as sucking something to get a management job, why is it that being a CP at FedEx is looked on as being such a terrible thing? Have we not had some descent ones? Yeah, I know there are the DH's and the RF's, but there was also the Chip Groners, the Jack Lewis', et al. The way I look at it is that if we got more good guys to apply for these jobs we wouldn't get the shat birds in the jobs. Man will this start the name calling....... |
