Does Fedex require a resignation of seniority from all carriers that you currently have seniority numbers at. Soon, I'll have two.
Thanks. FF Sorry, but you just wouldn't enjoy it at FedEx. It's way too laid-back for you UPS guys to handle. You'd be constantly wondering when the shoe was going to fall, and would probably end up with some sort of facial tick or some other psychological issue. Regardless of what you read here, FedEx is a great place to work. OK guys, I've got my asbestos suit on, flame away.:D JJ |

OK, who's got any insight on this rumor?
I've heard the verbiage "...other than pursant to a court order or arbitration award.." was added here because there is an outside chance that the Company may be "ordered", or perhaps "agree to", bring on all the Pro's who've been waiting on the sidelines during 4A2B (...beyond the 3 years specified in their contracts). Thus, management actually could "hire" and add to our seniority list while staying in 4A2B. Hmmm....I wonder how many Pro's would take an MD-11 to HKG right out of the gate, even with the current FDA package....??? Discuss! Every time someone goes to HKG it makes me laugh. No one wants to take the hazardous surface GT but the company won't give crewmembers any "bank" if both pilots deviate and cancel the scheduled transportation. The train is apparently much safer. This must be a great cost center for the company to help pay out MBO bonuses. There is little incentive to make it better. On the bright side, management was so frightened by the GT I don't think they'll do it again. Nothing changed after their experience. Some of the FOs are in the bottom 100. With upgrades slowly coming, I think they are out of pilots willing to go. They might have to take some pros hungry to come aboard if folks get out by bidding 757 FO. |
Some poolies have been instructed to update times on their pilot profile.

I'll go to HKG. Anyone willing to sponsor a brown MD fo who's a wee bit tired of all the beatings? :)

I don't know...Call me crazy...But, for some reason I think hiring and upgrades will somehow coincide with contract negotiations. And, it will be as if the "Men in Black" will have flashed us.

Jay: Did you ever flashy-thing me?

Is this actually happening? Poolies are being called? What is happening as far as contract negotiations? BTW, you guys would probably be just as happy to see new-hires, as we would be to see you right? If us poolies are hired, it means the end of 4a2b is that correct? Win-win situation :) Hopefully out of the pool by 2011, or sooner.....my phone is on with the ringer on high! CS. |

FedEx will start hiring when some guys start retiring. That will be 5 years from when the retirement age was changed to 65.
