I'm sure some are pushing for the retirement age to be 70.

That resign form your previous airline thing cost me $80k. Rolled the dice and got stuck on the panel for 4 years. Might still work out in the long term, or not.

There are two issues here...one is an agreement to go under the NEW PRO Contract. The other is simply an addendum. Nobody signed the NEW CONTRACT but most did sign the new addendum.

About the addendum....the company wanted them to sign it to keep them FROM going to HKG and then getting furloughed. The company would then have to pay to move them there and back if furloughed...an expensive proposition.

Most signed it, a few did not. The summary of it simply says that they agree to the following:

1) You will be the first to be hired (before any external hiring).
2) You will be at the bottom of the seniority list.
3) You will be paid first year pay.
4) You will be the first to be furloughed.
5) You will be a MEM based 727 S/O.

727 is supposed to be gone by Dec 2015....however, there are more than a handful that could be flown until 2018 without having one of the more expensive MX checks.

And the "65ers" already started flowing to the back for their 3rd tour starting in Dec 09 ---- with a few more coming this year ---- check out the 727 training letter.

Wow, just wow. Have some pride folks. They were once wide body Captains and now want to end their careers at the panel? Not the memory I want to leave with.

Whats sad is the day you turn 65 the WB Capt pay stops and the S/O pay starts. Literally working for half pay....................A 25 year WB Capt A plan payout is $130k..........any panel sitters you know making that?
