I'm thinking that "member" and "chairman" mean different roles.
Every e-mail or communication I've seen from JG as chairman indicates to me that he gets the big picture.
I would call him experienced in negotiations (which we want) but without an agenda (other than what the masses want).

Don't think JG and DW always saw eye to eye. That's good enough for me! Speaking of Mr "do what I say not as I do" while I take care of my buds and screw everyone junior to them, .. heard he threatened another crew member in ops for talking to him about bidding the 777. Said if the conversation continued he would inform management that he was being harassed by said individual. Not Pro Standards..Flight Management. This was an eyewitness account so I put pretty good reliability on it. To think I used to defend this guy on this very board..live and learn I guess

Great. I'll take a wait and see attitude. Meanwhile, please forego the "my NC speaks for me" stickers. I want to read it first. Sorry, but OUR union has created this sentiment for at least one member. But then again, I'm one of those 32%'s, proponents of hysteria, out of touch Subic demagogues, who actually realized the absurdity of the LOA and tax equalization.
