Default FDX standby draft

now that we're out of 4a2b I no longer feel obliged to be a drftddgr.

i was called today at 1229 for draft airport standby which i accepted. at 1231 he called back and said that if i was lauched today and returned sunday it would cause a 1n7 conflict so they couldn't use me.

do i have any recourse for being given the standby and then having it removed immediately thereafter?

4.Q.3 in the contract might apply. Hopefully they notified you via VIPS too. Tried to pull that one on me, they cancelled within 1 hr and then tried to not pay the showpay. Pulled the VIPS notification because they called me in my car enroute...No VIPS notification therefore, you can imagine the scheduler's reasoning. It all worked out in the end.

Over the years I've learned that it pays to always print out the pairing whenever notified of a trip. And to print out every revision thereafter.

That is some of the best advice you can take. Once they change things, it's gone for good, unless you have the printout.
