Packrat, great answers even though a year old. I have a Skype interview with Everts tomorrow for an MD-80 FO job in LRD and was looking for this exact info.

Default You must load

You will get fork lift and pallet jack trained. Try IFL, I think they may be better.

Negative on the fork lift training. Pallet Jack and Strapping/Unstrapping Training... es verdad. Save a lot of money of gym memberships however.

New DO with positive track record. One of the best C/Ps in the buesiness, if not the best. Owner of the company is a line pilot too who straps the DC-6 and C-46 to his back on a regular basis even in the dead of winter.

All in all... first choice for Lower 48 flying and Alaska flying. Who knows... you can be the only kid on your block to get a type rating on the DC-6.

Training will be conducted in Fairbanks Alaska... Basic Indoc., Systems, and CPT. Accomodations, with a community kitchen, bathrooms, with 2 sets of washers and dryers, and car is provided.

Simulaor location will be assigned during ground training.

Line training will start soon after your sim training is complete.

Office staff will help you with any qauesitons you may have.

Pay attention to your instructors, and study hard, and enjoy your time at Everts Air Cargo.

Very nice crew accomodations with a crew cars are provided in KLRD. The folks in Fairbanks will give provide you with true information when on the road, and overnighting away from KLRD. Good hotels are provided on the road too.

How many hours a year do the guys fly?
Do you ever break the 60 hour guarantee?

It is strange how their Brasilias became static displays in LRD. I think they gave up on that program.
