Question. What's going to happen during the hub-turn on the morning of Sept. 1 when nobody can sign on to check wx and flight plans?

I think you're on to something. My wife has had VPN access to Fedex for a couple years so she can work after hours from home. Up till a few months ago, she had a token. Then they switched over to this Egrid system. She told me some folks have printed out their grid, laminated it, and put it with their ID.

Looks like the VPN, firewall software is Windows based. Will MACs lose their access to the company website?

Ah, there's the real conspiracy theory in action. Fred owns stock in Microsoft and he wants all employees to have to own Windows.

I thought it was a encrypted token, not a BINGO card without prizes... Darn.

I heard they were going to issue these; but, were afraid they would be stolen by our kids .

Looks like MACs are not a problem.

From TF,
None of the software nor will VPN access be required to logon to
pilot.fedex.com. Although we are using the same eGrid card as VPN it is
completely separate programming. Don't read more than what is in the FCIF an
the additional information available on pfc. Nothing is changing but the
requirement to use the eGrid card. It has been tested on macs, imacs, all
Windows platforms, BBs, Iphones, and Linux workstations and works fine...Hope this helps.

The easy way:

Bring the grid up on your screen, take a picture of it with your phone, and then store the picture in an album under some odd name. Then it will always be right there ready for you when you need it.

Default New Secure Voice Link in FDX Aircraft

In addition to the e-grid we will be installing this "latest technology" equipment in our aircraft to prevent UPS from initiating a "spoofing" operation on our sweep flights:

"It decodes as Wing Attack Plan R"
