I think you're on to something. My wife has had VPN access to Fedex for a couple years so she can work after hours from home. Up till a few months ago, she had a token. Then they switched over to this Egrid system. She told me some folks have printed out their grid, laminated it, and put it with their ID.

Looks like MACs are not a problem.

None of the software nor will VPN access be required to logon to
pilot.fedex.com. Although we are using the same eGrid card as VPN it is
completely separate programming. Don't read more than what is in the FCIF an
the additional information available on pfc. Nothing is changing but the
requirement to use the eGrid card. It has been tested on macs, imacs, all
Windows platforms, BBs, Iphones, and Linux workstations and works fine...Hope this helps.
