UPS: What is going on?

Well, I was just denied my third trip trade due to insufficient reserve coverage. This airline is not overstaffed, in fact, it is a daily chore to cover trips. My guess is that as usual, they have no plan for not only next week, they have no plan for the next six months.

Not sure why a non-pilot and a mgt person would want to be on a pilot forum anyhow.

I had a captain try to order a beer in Osaka. English didn't work so he tried to order a cerveza. Best laugh I had in a while especially when the light came on.

My last post on the "Not so Fast" thread has been deleted. I wholly expected that my account would be deleted. To my surprise a mod messaged me and among other things stated that Soyathink and Gumbie have been banned. It looks like neither has piped in here yet so it must be true.

If they don't understand English the first time...
SPEAK LOUDER , they always get it then....aye carumba.

Yep, I too had a Capt order food in Spanish while we were in Shanghai. I would have thought the Chinese writing on the menu was a dead give-away.

1. Possible attrition to FDX when they start to hire. In addition, some may leave flying altogether or stay at their "furloughed from UPS" jobs due to choice or contractaul obligations
2. Sloppy recall language thus creating a recall nightmare when the time comes.
Once again, they'll contend they have it ALL under control and when the beans don't fall into place they'll have the look of a dog trying to read the classified section. The bean bags have opened this Pandora's Box, now they are finding out what's in it.
