It was very successful. Infact, it was so successful, look how good the entire pilot slowdown has helped pilot QOL at United since the slowdown........

Having thought this through...... yea its stupid.
You have got to be sh1tt1n me. Really, do we need morale to plummet any further than it already is. And you don't think we'd have our a$$ handed to us in any court case. Come on guys, stay the course. It is effective. And I have talked to the Union leadership and I know they wouldn't sanction this.

I cannot believe the crap that comes from some peoples mouths. So, you mean to tell me that making some other guys life miserable is worth your say in anything. Forget that all of us in this industry paid alot of money to get into it(not because I am rich), but the fact that at the bottom we are completely SH5T on. Then we got some jackA$$ who wants to be the big bad bully and try to deny someone flying time so he can get his way. Grow up, just do your damn job and help those along the way who are stryggling to make it. Promote comradere between pilots, be a good mentor, be a human being. You are full of crap if you think that your corvette driving lifestyle at the top is all that bad. I have never been so disgusted with a job or at abything than from some of the crap I hear and read about in this proffesion. AND I PAID MONEY TO BE HERE???!!! Unbealiveable that this is what you get your self into for something that you love dearly and you invest so much into.

If this post really, really ****es some people off, than i am sorry that I may have to work with you someday. Because I will never, ever sell another comrade short. I will always do my job to the best of my abilities with enthusiasm whether I like it or not. Why, because that is my job, and hopefully for me, that is the way more than half of you feel.

Thumbs up Confused? Hopefully not.....

If so than I will have to see what you are talking about when I get there. But I do not think that what I read was confusing. Don't let the FO's land. To me that means don't let them land, which in turn means that they will not remain current, which then means that they will have to go to the sim to keep current, which means that I am not that confused!!!!!!

I have to say that while it might be a good way to cause issues within the scheduling and currency departments, it also has the very negative impact of splitting a deep wedge between the pilot group. If an FO is willing to participate so be it. But I can tell you that any captain that imposes "self-rule" and forbids an FO (involuntairly) from flying is doing nothing to help the overall situation.

I certainly hope that this post is in jest.

I don't think taking away landings from us FO's is meant to be a bully (I get paid the same to talk on the radio as I do for flying the plane).
What it means is if you are not current the company can't use you until you are. We are sending people to Long Beach, Atlanta, Frankfurt, and ANC along with all the sims in MEM for MD11 Upgrade and Initial training. If all of the sudden you have to start throwing in PC's for landing currency it gets ugly.
Personally I don't think it needs to be taken all the way to guys being non current for landings. All we need is 1000+ people getting notices in VIPs about needing landings and someone will notice. Just like the recent notice about Passports and Visas.

My mistake then. If anybody's feelings got hurt tonight; well, I don't know what to tell you! I don't have much of a shoulder left to cry on. I just want to get my job and have fun with it. That's all, i don't want anymore trouble in the end when there is plenty to be had already.
