CRJ jumpseat....Ha. You must have never sat in the cockpit of a B-727. It's loud, even with the motors off, just sitting at the ramp.

That sounds like the old joke:

A 727 crew is standing on the curb waiting for the hotel van. The Captain says, "Windy today." The FO says, "No sir, it's Thursday." And the Engineer says, "Yeah, me too, let's go grab a drink."

I have 7 airline type ratings. The 777 is the quietest I've flown. The older 737 were the loudest.

Default Why?

Why is it so loud up front, but not for the pax? Is it just being at the front of the airframe?

Every commercial flight I've been on, I've been able to talk to (or ignore) the person next to me, except when I got the last row window on an MD-88 (nice view too).

777 heads are too big for headsets. Just be happy with your 777 lanyard

Ours are loud due to the increased airflow inside the cockpit from the cargo configuration. I have been told Boeing is looking into it.

Definitely wear the stupid 777 lanyard. Looks sharp.

I've also never understood why Fedex people say "The Boeing"?

We have MD-10s, 757s, and 727's all made by the same outfit?
I've heard the 777 was made by the same sweatshop, though not 100$ sure on that.

Hey fellas, did you drive The Car on the way to work today??

I just don't get this place.

I heard the 777 Captains want to wear 5 stripes? When PanAm got their 747's (the very first 747's) they wanted Admiral Stripes!*?
