First offer? I thought your first offer came about three years ago. Unless your union is a lot different than ours at FDX, your TA was the best deal your negotiators thought they were going to get, and much better than the first 3 or 4 or whatever, company offers. With a good negotiating group, you'll never see the first couple offers unless the company publicizes them (like Fred did.)

From the outside looking in, your "package" appears to be in the right direction. Great signing bonus, something new to me and airline contracts. Just read that there was enough support to pass. Next week we will see our TA. The devil is in the details. Wish us luck.......20 yrs FedEx

Either way thanks for the congrads, hopefully the detail will be better than you think... What's done is done for us and we can now move on. Hope the best for you guys. Either way, whether you like the nc or not what a thankless job. 2700/4700 pilots and same amount of differing views, not exactly an easy task.

It would be interesting to see how the yeas or nays were distrubuted among the pilot group.
Congrats to the UPS guys and bravo to their voting participation.
We're up next Purple Pimps!

I don't think that was ever our goal, and in fact we have been above them for quite some time.

If anyone wants further information here is the latest info from a business journal website concerning UPS's new contract. http://www.bizjournals.com/memphis/s...8/daily27.html
as of 8am Eastern time 09/01/06
If anyone heard NPR last night there was a story on UPS. The take away message as I understood it was, that UPS is doing well + boxes are not affraid of terrorists = pilot making more money.
