I just got a call from a polling center on behalf of the union. They asked questions that were similar to some that were posted on these threads.

Anyone else?

Prediction:
55% yes on TA; it passes, and the company laughs at the divided crew force and realization that next round of negotiations will be a cakewalk as they dictate the terms.

Not sure how it will go... but I hope it's either a big "yes" or a resounding "no."

Wow, I hope it's not a "big yes" --- that will clearly signal to the company that they "overpaid" --- even at this paltry price --- and they will hold out for even less in the future.

It seems optimal, from a mgt perspective, that TAs which pass 51%-49% are the ones where mgt paid "just enough" to "get er dun" --- and that's what they are hoping for.

A majority "No" vote is the only vote that will get their attention.

I did the survey, too. The poor guy probably got tired of me ranting about 4a2b. But I think that he got my "NO" vote.

NoHaz is right. The Union doesn't have to worry. There are enough short sighted people out there to provide a simple majority with the vote. They have been salivating like Pavlov's dog since they saw that massive 3% raise and huge 1% lump sum signing bonus......all the way back to Nov' 10.

Just take the darn vote! That will be the most accurate poll. Why waist money on an outside poll. What good is that info now.....the cat's out of the proverbial bag!

I'd personally be happy with anything greater than a 51% no vote....regardless of what the company thinks. But you may be right. Subsequent offers wouldn't have to be much bigger would they?

Hasn't even opened yet. I would guess a 30 day voting window.
