Has anyone else heard the rumor that the company is considering not only an MD-11 base in HKG, but a 777 base as well?? I have heard this a couple of different times in MEM..... as well as the rumor that the Airbus in HKG might only last for another couple of years....
Possibly interesting developments on the horizon......

Gcsass- pilots start rumors somttimes just to see how long it takes for the rumor to get back to them. i think that the company looks at evrything. they have analists up the rear, and they need something for them to do [biggest jobs program in Memphrica], and these people have probably considered putting the 777 in HK. It doesn't make sense in that theater, since we need the 777 to go back and forth from china with huge loads and 2/3's the gas of an md-11. eventually we will dispose of that toilet-fish md-11/md-10, and replace it with the far better boeing product! That pile of crap has killed people since 1973, it was a rush job by a marginal company, and it keeps recycling itself. bye bye MD, hello beer can!
