UPS - Way to go NEW FQS's
Heard there are at least two furloughed IPA guys joining the "manglement" ranks at big brown!
Interesting times to say the least. You can be furloughed one week, but next week you will be a "instant" captain.

What WIA rumors about recalls? The IPA hasn't said anything. Crew planning just told a furloughee it would most likely be next year before recalls.

I say we should all send a thank you note to these two elite aviotars for joining the management while we paid their families health insurance out of our pockets. If that rumor becomes reality then Roberto is off the hook since these guys will be the new lows.

No, the new low would be anyone who criticizes someone for taking a job when unemployed. I just hope they sign their cards.

I can confirm this one as well. It was just one guy for sure. 11/07 hire on the MD. Don't know about any others. I know there were several furloughed IPA guys that have inquired, but as soon as UPS looked at their exceptions file/comments they said no thanks! I guess the only thing in that file is the "bad" stuff. No ATTA - BOYZ/GIRLZ! Oh well. Let that be a lesson. No good deed goes unpunished!!
I don't believe anyone is floating credible information regarding recalls. I guess we'll find out anything new tomorrow at CC. I would "expect" to see some recalls beginning this summer. I believe it will only be 2-5 per recall class. This will barely cover IPA retirements.
As long as SCS is moving so much stuff and UPS has complicated this entire "logistics" package, there is no way to track how our stuff is moved. Unlike FedEx, if it has a FedEx label on it, they are hauling it PERIOD...DOT....END OF DISCUSSION. It explains their(FedEx's) growth. For UPS, not so much. Expect to see 2500 IPA pilots as a hard number for the unforeseen future. The FQS number's may continue to grow since there is no limit on how many can be employed.
