FedEX TA bonus payments

anyone else unhappy with the "BONUS"
I realize we need to look at the total package, but this bonus is BOGUS. One more day of retro pay is BS. We deserved more retro pay.
Now look at scheduling: What will increasing the BLG spread from 8.5 to 11 and then 13 hours will do to line quality ? I have some ideas.

We like to refer to it as the Bone Us payment. It wasn't done to compensate us for the lost time negotiating this contract, but as a way to buy votes. How else can you explain pilots one day off of probabtion getting $40,000 checks?

[QUOTE=767pilot;59329]Apparently FedEx MGT thinks Our Widebody CAPT's are worth 10k less than a UPS new hire (with 1 year DOS)

Before you or anyone else starts chastising the NC or MEC go back and read/ re-read my post #45 under FDX TA approved.
The Negotiating committe /MEC only has as much power as the Line Pilots give them. They can be the best in the business, but if the general membership doesn't back them up during negotiations....they end up with their Hat in their hand begging from MGT.
From my perspective, too many FDX pilots started (supporting the NC) doing too little too late. Many of you folks know what I am talking about. Many of YOU were doing what was necessary........apparently not enough were.so do be too critical of the NC or MEC.

My respect toward the NC has nothing to do with our small bonus. The figures speak for themselves.
I wouldn't be surprised if "bonus payments" are taxed at a higher % than a "retro payment". Need to call my accountant.
There goes my plans for a 28' sailboat, looks like I have to settle on a 24' now.

What I would like from the MEC is honesty. Tell it like it is "We got the best you guys could get under the circumstances" not this crap about we got this TA because of your support. Or, is that the real message? You got the TA you deserved given the level of personal support?
Concur...........but often you have to read between the lines.
Like when the MEC or Negotiating Committe Chair asked for the support of the line folks.............Rading between the lines, what did that mean??
