over 5 hours first class FDX

I have a trip that DHs for 3.5 hours turns in 1.5 and then operates live for 2 hours back to Memphis same duty period. Shouldnt that be first class. I think its on Mesa or Mesaba so probably not First class anyway.

Nope, DH to a live leg has to exceed 8 BH or duty of 11:30 for FC

See 8.A.4.b

Just called it is on two RJs---Sweet. Yes I was authorized FC. I thought it should have said FC on the pairing.

All those scenarios are divided by "or", so the 5 hrs of DH block would have been enough - darn Barbie Jets!

Great concept except, it has to "exceed 5 hours of block" to qualify for 1st class and a 1st class deviation bank

So, with exactly 5 hours of block you are stuck in coach

I think the OP meant the D/H was 3.5, on the ground for 1.5 and then he operated for another 2.0. So, no First Class based on D/H(over 5) or combination of D/H + BLK(over 8) flight times, period.
