Default FDX - New SCP

BM as the new SCP. I just want to gag. I really hoped we'd get a 'real' pilot to be SCP. Silly me to think the 'ol boy network would allow us a SCP we could respect as one of our own.

That was one of the worst kept secrets in recent memory...

I "Love" how upper MGT - PC, JB, JK, & JG all were "conducting" interviews for SCP two weeks ago - even though EVERYONE knew it was going to be BM. Why even post an opening and waste pilots time on interviewing?

Really! They didn't waste all of that time with O, heck, they didn't even waste time with a posting for the opening last time. Would have liked to have seen SMc get the nod on this one.

And as my first act as the new SCP, let me send out a FCIF insulting the intelligence of the entire pilot force - "if you need any further guidance..."

Read it again, and take a better look at who wrote it.

I guess being on the NC and having been the SIG Chairman is good for ones resume. I dont know him; I hope he will be looking out for us.

Often when organizations post for a "filled" position, the interviews are a great way to expose future leaders or potential candidates to the decision makers.

That is why I have always encourage kids, friends, and clients to go to EVERY interview they can. You may not be interviewing for THIS job, but for a future job or another job down the road within the same firm. What is a better way to meet the decision makers than go interview?

That applied to interviews for WIC, the T-birds, State Farm agent openings, or a host of other things I have seen where guys often get the nod of the 2nd or 3rd pass.

Sorry to interrupt anyone's rant with interview coaching queep. Its sort of passion with me... Please continue....

There are a lot of worse choices than BM. I have flown with BM and O and I think BM can relate to most FDX pilots way more than O. BM also did a lot of work with FPA to try and get us our first contract. He is probably more pro-pilot, or at least not anti-pilot, than anybody in that position that I can remember.

I am surprised the lawyers even let the fourth paragraph be put in the letter.
