Leverage and the Next MEC Decision

UPS pay is higher than FDX:
For all intents and purposes, they are all on FDX widebody pay with a few dollars an hour extra.
Plus, they are paid biweekly, which translates to a higher (81 versus 74 hour average for FDX) BLG.
The quality of the rest of our respective contracts is debatable, but the fact is that UPS pay across the board is higher especially when all widebody pay is considered.

Unanimous decision to "Stay the course"
FYI to all FDXer's
Just got a message update that the MEC unanimously elected to "Stay the course with interim discussions" and take the 3%. The links on ALPA's website aren't working yet though.

71 / 28 = 2.53 hrs of pay per day
88 / 35 = 2.51 hrs of pay per day
UPS (per Airline Pilot Central - HOME) -
75 / 28 = 2.67 hrs of pay per day
Not sure how UPS rolls but FedEx has a wide range of lines. Usually a 10-11 hr spread.

We have had carry over here since before we even thought a Union was even possible.
Besides the last 3 pre contract surveys asking about eliminating or restricting carry over or instituting a Pay Cap were all met with a BIG NO from the membership. Again what does ALPA have to do with this?
