Any one have experience with deviating into VCP? I've heard Caprioli Shuttle is common. If that is a good option, do you get off at the first or second stop once in Campinas?
Any other tricks?

It's easier to just take a taxi to the Royal Palm Plaza. About 1.5 hours on light traffic days. If you get in early in the morning, it's a piece of cake. About 225 Reals. 125 USD. If you get in during the dinner hour, after 5pm, you can add one hour to the trip.

Hi,
Everything depends where you'll stay. The Capriolli bus takes you to downtown (Main Bus Terminal or Largo do Pará ). I prefer the second stop. There are many hotels available and it's close to everything, you can take a cab from there. The bus should cost $25 USD each way.
The Royal Palm Plaza option is good but expensive and it's far from downtown if you want to know the area. Let me know if you have more questions about that area, I'm pretty familiar with it.
Best wishes,
Tdemoura

I've deviated into VCP several times and as long as I was close to the original arrival time (within a couple hours) the ramp was happy to arrange contract transportation for me. Contact info: Ibere Dias (Fernando) e-mail: [email protected]

A company (Bona Vita) has bought Capriolli. They still make the same run. The cost is about 47 Reais. From there, if you need to go to the Royal Palm Plaza, another 16-18 reais. The company transportation company charges 280 reais. If you can get the ramp to provide transportation while deviating, so be it. If traveling on the weekend, the drive is about 1:15 to the hotel. Add 10 minutes if going downtown. If during a weekday or if raining, you can add 30-90 minutes.
