ABX hires replacements with dozens furloughed

Never forget. That malicious line is overused in this industry. What a childish sentiment. Someone needed more whippings growing up.
Didn't you say us wild ABX dogs should move on? Yet you "never forget"...sounds like you're over due for a look in the mirror? Hypocritical to say the least.
Again...why bother.

What if uncle Joe decides to run ATI into BK?(Very possible) then shift the flying over to the Capital cert.? Have heard a Bankruptcy is under consideration for ATI or ATSG as a whole in order to reorganize the whole mess.....at the expense of labor of course. $7.75 Joe!

We're all watching the CCIA deal with great interest to say the least.
It wasn't fun to deal with within ATI either. Boy the stories floating around about why this "purchase" occurred....
ATI has several lucrative AMC contracts
Up for bid real soon with the 757 combi's coming on line. At least one other airline (National) is going to make an attempt at these contracts when the bidding opens. Only -8 expected to be on property this time next year (give or take a few months) is N721CX since its a -72 and meets the AMC fuel burn requirements.
I'm outside looking in now so there are others better qualified to speak of the health of ATI than me
They're making cuts left/right in non-flying positions as well. There is really only 7 of the 14 airplanes actually flying right now regularly. That number will be 12 real soon with one combi (N799AL) and one -73 (N603AL) being parked. In addition, I was told Lan Cargo doesn't want the 767-200 flying for them anymore, and now that both -300s are in MIA, it might go away soon. There is suppose to be a "deal" in the works for N312AA, N762CX, and N763CX to join N761CX in OBBI but that has been floating around for a while now.
One of the "strongest" rumors floating around right now is that LIT will go away and everything will be moved to ILN. ATSG keeps ATI's certificate for all the international/supplemental flying and ABX's for domestic only since the ATI side can do a lot of charters "cheaper" for lack of a better term.
Just was wondering and hoping for the best......

Not quite correct....ABX is expanding both domestic and international. Abx has approval to operate in Japan and China...lengthy process to acquire. Domestically ABX's scope does not allow a "sister" company to operate 767 aircraft in North America with DHL freight hence.... ABX flies the majority of the domestic flights.
