A380 Payrates
From the beginning of negotiations I had expressed a desire to leave the A380 rates out of the contract. To me, there was no point in negotiating a payrate for an aircraft that would appear near the very end of our CBA.
Now that the 380 is definitely coming AFTER our CBA expires I think we should engage the company to spread those monies around the other fleet types on property.
It seems a huge waste that part of the "financial pie" was set aside for a jet that may never be here.
Thoughts????

In four years, I don't know about you FDX727, but I am going to insist on having Concorde payrates at say.....$700/hr so I can call myself "the highest paid in the industry". It'll be cool huh....even if we don't get 'em.
On the serious side, I am IN NO WAY diminishing the hard work and results that the negotiating committee put forth. In fact, I think that the relationship forged with the company during these talks will serve to reduce the animosity that has exisisted in the past between "us and them". To that end, I am sure that it was not forseen that Airbus would be blundering along with the development of the 380, but it might be worth to "test" our relationship with the company and ask for a few bucks back from the "380 slice of the pie". If they do that and are successful, and of course since you don't care, I'll be happy to take your cut.

3/7 or 43% of your posts are you being your arrogant, all-knowing self.
1. "Guys, give it a break already. Go volunteer for some community service or something and find some purpose in your life. We are all professionals. Lets give each other credit. There is something for everyone in this company. I for one am happy to be here."
2. "Mach, Go back in your sandbox. Shutup."
3. "You're input is insignificant. Are you related to MACH. Leave this board for the grown ups."
4. Has to do with your diabetes
5. Has to do with how ecstatic you are with our non-rev policy...welcome to an airline job sparky, pretty cool huh?
6. Has to do with you proclaiming to be "community service person of the year".
7. And seven is you giving praise, albeit sarcastically.
SO, after further review I would say that your input on this board has been rather insignificant. When I want your opinion in the future, I'll ask.
YOU A PROFESSIONAL? Think again.

Considering that it is roughly 120K heavier than the MD...it's probably reasonalbe to put it in the standard W/B category. Afterall, we do have 13+40 min flights as is, so it's likely to compliment routes already flown.
