Default FDX 777 disputed pairing already covered

It took a little over two hours but both seats are filled for 122/8may

Ignorance or Insolence? Does it matter? How fast did they go on the other seats?

ANC FO's once again have not picked up any disputed pairings. Job well done.

Disputed pairing? For the uninitiated spectators.

Don't know about the F/O (calendar blocker) but the captain is new to the jet. That's what happened last time. They look at the big bunks and the double crew and think that fatigue is less of a factor on the 77.

But the trip is disputed because it is three duty periods connected by two ~25 hour layovers. The first duty period starts at 3 am and is 15.5 hours long (if you leave on time); then the next two legs are over six hours, with just two guys. The third leg is at night, through the tropical convergence zone and philippine airspace. Trust me, they're gonna see why it's disputed. Welcome to the flying crash pad.

Anybody who thinks this is a good trip should sit down with a piece of paper, draw out a time line, and plan your sleep pattern. Give it a try. If you've flown the MEM-KIX leg, you know you get the mother of all sinkers about 2pm the next day. These guys are gonna get that about the time they get into Singapore airspace.

I'm pretty sure the FO on 122/8May used to be an ANC FO (maybe even upgraded to Captain for a while up in ANC?) that should know better

FDX battle cry - "It's all about me" (stole that from someone, but so true here)

Default EUR DPs

So far no one has picked up the DPs from the 757 EUR Base (both seats). Word is out, stay away from them!

That's why we have CDG Standbys for MEM crews. Sounds like fun!

Not saying it couldnt be done, but they way they build the cgn hotel stby (1800 - 0530 every night but Friday) would make using those guys on the week long pairing challenging. Good thing there are 4 lines of reserves every month. Either way here is hoping the Europe guys stand strong.

It could be a good snapshot of how our DP process works or dosent work.
